Profiling large sites runs out of memory

I've found that when profiling larger sites (still sub 10,000 pages) Funnel Web Profiler I get the error message "The system has run out of memory and Funnel Web Profiler will now shut down".
I'm running it in a virtual machine that has 3GB of RAM, 237MB of which is commited so I don't thikn it's a memory issue. Are there any hidden settings that I can tweak? I've tried updating the Java platform and extending the RAM from 1GB to 3GB but it still doesn't help...

I would suggest modifying the Settings --> Statistics and uncheck all options that you don't need or use, e.g., Marketing, Advertising, etc. I manage a city government website, so I don't use a lot of the stats that they have to offer. I use the basics, Summary, Visitors, Pages, File Downloads, etc. When I unchecked a lot of the options, FunnelWeb stopped crashing.
